We had a blast collaborating with Bleacher Report on another CGi animated short. A fun concept, talented team, and great timing, B/R unleashed this Stir Fry on Instagram generating over 1 million views in less than 24 hours. Lot’s of love and love those comments. More to come!
Cloudability | FinOps
Cloudability sought a high-end animation explaining how their product FinOps solves the cloud spending challenges faced by modern businesses, a video which could then tie into and inform their imminent rebrand. The goal was to show large enterprises a way to bring their teams together and achieve financial harmony in the face of the intricacies of cloud spending. Essentially, FinOps is the answer to the contemporary budgeting question, “How can we facilitate teamwork across all verticals?”
Super Bowl LIII Preopen
Our friends at Bleacher Report approached us to produce a fun yet challenging concept for a Super Bowl pre-open: visualize the Vince Lombardi trophy coming together in 3D and animate four plays from the two winning NFL teams in 2D. This may seem straightforward; however, we needed to complete this in just 12 days, and combining a 3D chrome trophy with 2D hand-drawn animation is a tricky design combination. Fortunately, our talented team was amped-up to take on this time-sensitive task, and we successfully nailed it with time to spare.

Giro | Shape the Wind
GIRO is known for taking high-performance helmet design to the next level, and the Vanquish MIPS road cycling helmet is proof of their serious dedication to “enhancing the ride.” To showcase the innovative approach behind GIRO’s newest creation, Deep Sky was tasked with visualizing the helmet’s advanced airflow technology that came from years of data gathering, months of aerodynamic development, and extensive pro-rider testing.
Giro | Imperial Shoe
We helped our friends at Giro create this slick animation over the summer for the latest Imperial bike shoe. We transition the shoe seamlessly from video into 3D where we disintegrate it down to the mesh called ‘SyncWire’. Then we simulated the material growing over the shoe’s mesh and connecting the BOA system, growing wire straps and completing the creation. Ending with our athlete’s hand in 3D adjusting the BOA.
ODOT | Signs
We teamed up with our friends at Gard Communications to produce a new PSA for Oregon Department of Transportation. Our goal was to produce a local spot that felt central to Oregon and connected with viewers where they’ve been this very situation.
R/WEST | Flir, All of This
We partnered with the legendary Portland-based motorcycle apparel company ICON Motosports to create this wild social media animation promoting the release of the Beastie Bunny helmet. This style was inspired by the classic Warner Bros animations, as we get a glimpse into the cotton-tailed concocter’s laboratory where he is piecing together his abomination-creation. Starting with both rigged and hand-animated characters, we added electricity effects to highlight the monster’s transformation. ICON is known for it’s beautiful helmet designs, but this video engaged with their fans on a whole new level.
Giro | CGI Product Shoe Renderings
We worked with Giro on their 2020 Bike lineup from photography to CGI rendering. Early on we found traditional box modeling wouldn’t work for Giro’s sleek shoe designs.
