Cloudability sought a high-end animation explaining how their product FinOps solves the cloud spending challenges faced by modern businesses, a video which could then tie into and inform their imminent rebrand. The goal was to show large enterprises a way to bring their teams together and achieve financial harmony in the face of the intricacies of cloud spending. Essentially, FinOps is the answer to the contemporary budgeting question, “How can we facilitate teamwork across all verticals?”
To engage the company’s audience of decision makers, we delivered a video differentiated from other tech animations through the use of flat patterns projecting over tactile 3D shapes. The result was fluid interaction between tangible objects and 2D characters. Line work was reserved only to show movement, emphasizing the scaleable capabilities of FinOps. Lastly, a three-color palette illustrates how the product enables integration of the tech, business, and finance arms of an organization; with white depicting the even plane, the round table, the common language.
In the final product, a seamless blend of 2D and 3D graphics translates elaborate concepts into accessible imagery and highlights the value and relevance of FinOps. Our visuals both aided and reinforced Cloudability’s rebrand, making this a particularly exciting project for all of us, from start to finish.
“The video is a key component of the new site, we are very proud of it and have gotten TONS of great feedback on it.”
