Virtual Stage Video Production | Mindful “Kind By Design”

Deep Sky’s first installment of its animated anthology It’s The Little Things – originally released as the 2022 holiday short. Our 2D film gained over 500K views and over 60K likes on Instagram and TikTok within a two week period.

The short follows a homesteading frog settling in for a cozy evening in his log cabin during a mild and peaceful winter. Inspiration for the visual style is “cottagecore” aesthetics combined with our production team’s nostalgic perspective of their “coziest memories of winters spent at home.” Various works, including Over the Garden Wall, The Wind and the Willows, and Studio Ghibli’s famous food scenes, were also influential.

It’s the Little Things “Part 2: Spring” | Animated short

Spring time is here! Deep Sky’s latest installment of “It’s The Little Things Part 2: Spring”, features our favorite frog friend and his trusty caterpillar, as they tidy up their greenhouse in preparation for spring after their cozy winter.

Daimler | Speed of Right

As longtime partners of Daimler Truck North America, we were excited when they approached us to produce a video showing how they are leading sustainable transportation for all who keep the world moving. They are moving at the speed of right.

Utilizing a mixture of previously-produced footage we captured, stock, and CGI, our team edited this incredibly moving brand anthem.

Seahawks | Fumble Rumble Game Animation

We teamed up with the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks to create an engaging in-game animation to play at Lumen Field during the 2022 season. Inspired by the game Plinko, this animated scoreboard video engaged fans of all ages, strengthened their home field advantage, and promoted the strong culture around ‘The 12s’, all with a uniqely Seahawks, Seattle, and PNW-themed experience. We created 3 possible winners (The 12s, Blitz, and Boom) to keep fans on their feet each time.

To kick off production, we determined which Seattle landmarks the team wanted to focus on, then we got to work on developing concept art. Since the video is one long downward camera pan, each scene needed to flow seamlessly to the next.

Our background artist created a beautiful painterly mural as a backdrop. Our 3D team used the concept art as a basis to model environments and props on which the ball would bounce, and developed a bouncing simulation as well. Our 2D animation team breathed some fresh PNW life into the backgrounds with simple animations and effects too.

Shine Technologies | Fusion Brand Anthem

We partnered with the revolutionary fusion energy company SHINE Technologies to create a scrollable website experience and brand anthem video. They are deploying and scaling fusion technology now, in the hope that one day will lead to powering the world. Through their four phases of implementation, including inspecting industrial components, producing medical isotopes, recycling nuclear waste, and generating fusion energy, they aspire to create an on-demand, carbon-free energy future.

We worked with their team to create a script outline and brand message for the technical product visualization video. Through beautiful 3D animation, we created both epic photo-real environments as well as particle simulation scenes. Our 3D modeling team created 3D renders of their fusion reactors and facilities. In the end, the video launched on their site as a scrollable and interactive experience complete with a full brand relaunch.

Daimler Trucks North America | Purpose

We partnered with Daimler Trucks North America to produce this live action brand-defining video to usher in the next generation of the company. Combining existing footage we shot for previous projects with DTNA with unique footage we shot for this video specifically, we worked with our partners from pre-production to editorial and post-production to create a video to accompany their debut as an independent brand. The video premiered at a Portland Trail Blazers game at the Moda Center in late 2021.

Superplastic | Janky & Guggimon TikToks Animations

When you’re scrolling through TikTok and Instagram, it’s hard to miss our friends Janky, Guggimon, and Dayzee of SUPERPLASTIC showing up across limited edition vinyl drops, NFTs, video games & more. We had the pleasure of working with SUPERPLASTIC to produce animated content for their virtual influencer’s social media accounts.

Early on, we adapted SUPERPLASTIC’s pipeline and improved upon our own specifically for these characters to produce a wide range of content needed each week. Working with the SUPERPLASTIC team requires building and sharing environments, props, custom characters, rigging, animation, effects, and more. Our team may focus on lighting, effects, rendering, and compositing for some content, while other content requires taking SUPERPLASTIC’s concepts and seeing them through to final delivery. While some character work is keyframe animation, both teams regularly utilize Xsens and Faceware motion capture systems. All to create a cohesive, chaos-infused universe in which these virtual influencers live.
